Analysis and Research on the Promotion Strategies of Wechat Library

Abstract: Analysis and research on effective promotion strategies of wechat library can provide reference for library to utilize new media technology to promote service and thereby improve reading promotion. This paper investigated and analyzed the promotion status of wechat library, and then proposed the promotion strategies combining online service and offline service by taking the Wechat Library of Xidian University as example. Through the promotion, the number of users increased rapidly by 2168 and the platform gained a wide spread on campus. There were three key elements in this successful promotion. First, combining online service and offline service could take full advantages of these two promotion strategies. Second, gifts were used to draw attention of readers. Third, the wechat platform was recommended to the classmates specifically through friends' recommendations.
