Research on Discipline Development of University based on ESI and InCites

Abstract: With the strategic planning of Double First-rate proposal, universities pay more attention to their own advantage disciplines and construction of the subject, especially for the analysis of potential disciplines in order to speed up the construction of world-class disciplines, the process of promoting the first-class universities in the world. On the basis of ESI and InCites database, making the comprehensive analysis of the research output of computer science discipline in Hefei University of Technology from the number of published papers, citation, highly cited papers, first author/corresponding author, cooperating areas and institutions, keywords in the last decade(2007-2017). The present situation and development trend of scientific research strength of this discipline are studied by CiteSpace. After the discipline has entered the ESI ranks of the world's top 1%, evaluations and proposals that the author puts forward are contributed to promote the development of the discipline.
