Empirical Analysis on Book Weeding of University Library under the Background of "Double First-class" Construction

Abstract: Through the statistic analysis of mass book borrowing data, this paper obtained the book age meeting reader demands(99%, 90% and 80%), and proposed a book weeding method based on book lending rate, book age and duplicates. During the removal of Nanjing Forestry University Library, we used this method to calculate the weeding age of 22 kinds of books as well as TP and TU books. The practice showed this method was convenient and effective.
