An Empirical Analysis of the Farmers Demand for Knowledge of the Double Cropping Rice Management and Its Coping Strategies under the Background of Financial Crisis

Abstract: This paper conducts a survey and an analysis of the demand of 200 rural families for knowledge of double cropping rice management in Hunan province. A conclusion has been drawn that the information channels provided by governments,universities and research institutes can not meet the diversified demand of farmers who have returned from the unban areas. To solve this problem,this paper puts forward a coping strategy — the construction of information service platform based on double cropping rice management.
