Analysis on Research Competitiveness of Hebei's Universities Based on ESI and InCites

Abstract: Under the background of the "Double First-Class" construction, according to the actual situation of province, most provinces have launched a corresponding "Double First-Class" construction schemes. Scientific research competitiveness, as one of the important measuring indicators, has an important guiding significance for decision making. Taking ESI and InCites database as the data source, this paper analyzed the research competitiveness of 7 universities in Hebei province which ranking in ESI, mainly from four aspects of scientific research, such as scientific research innovation, productivity research and research development of influence force, and drew that research productivity and growth trend were good, while scientific research innovation and development ability were relatively weak with less influence. Hebei's overall competitiveness of scientific research is weak, and need a series of measures with joint efforts and collaborative development.
