Research on the Evaluation of University Library Website Building

Abstract: By using exploratory factor (EFC) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) statistics, this paper studied the potential variables of students’ evaluation on Ningbo’s university library websites. Results showed: (1) the EFC got four dimension factors in the evaluation of library website, whose scores were satisfaction evaluation (2.45 + / - 1.1), web page design (2.44 + / - 1.31), web resource structure (2.50 + 1.24) , feedback interaction (2.45 + / - 1.2). (2) the CFA’s evaluating coefficient in the library website evaluation model were CFI = 0.965, GFI = 0.965, NFI = 0.923, NNFI = 0.865, IFI = 0.954, RMSEA = 0.074, which were highly fitting. (3) male students gave more scores on web satisfaction, web page setup, web resource structure, feedback interaction than female, science students gave higher scores than liberal arts students, and the online frequency was one of the main factors in the evaluation satisfaction of university library website.
