Abstract: It is conductive to a deeper understanding of university library in our country with the development of information network for the reform and innovation,and transform the traditional concept of the library which is the only preservation institution of book and the resource purchasing agent,which discusses the difference on the development model of embedded service between the university library of China and the United States in the emerging field. It is better to guide the practice of embedded service in university library of China,from the advanced experience of the development of embedded services in the United States.
