Abstract: In view of college students lack of media literacy in the new media era, when the university libraries carry out the media education on the basis of the challenges and positioning analysis, the article puts forward that the university library should be aimed at media literacy education, and the librarian's role transformation to structure the mode of cultivating college students' media literacy. And it puts forward the concrete implementation strategy from different three parts: the plane media, audio-visual media, new media medium respectively. The aim of the article is to expand the function of the library service constantly, and to assist students' media literacy training, to help them find an effectively and efficiently method how to interpret and use knowledge, and how to improve their comprehensive ability to use information.
