Abstract: The librarian, as one of the main provision of library services, has a pivotal position in the library's development process. Smart Library, as a new direction of library development, not only proposed higher requirements for the library's hardware facilities, also requires librarians have the appropriate intellectual accomplishment. Based on the concept of Smart library, the meaning of smart librarians was elaborated with respect to conventional librarians. Combined with the actual situation in Library of Henan Institute of Engineering, the ways to enhance literacy of smart librarians was presented.
