Research on the Measure of core Publishers for University Library Taking the Library of Shanghai University of International Business and Economics as an Example

Abstract: In recent years, the amount and the price of published books are increasing year by year. For a library, it is unrealistic to collect all the published books. Faced with this challenge, some scholars put forward the theory of core publishers. According to the characteristics and major setup of Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, taking Chinese published book purchasing data and reader's ranking data during 2014—2015 as basis, this paper used comprehensive analysis method to determine the list of core publishers, so as to provide some references for other university libraries.
