Abstract: [purpose/significance] The coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei is a major strategic decision made by the Party Central Committee. And scientific research cooperation is an important aspect of it. [Method/process]This paper based on CNKI, searches the number of co-authored papers published by 26 universities in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region in 2008-2017 cooperation network maps, in order to explore the situation and evolution of scientific research cooperation network in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. [Result/Conclusion] The research findings show that the strong scientific research capability of universities is the basis for the formation of scientific research cooperation. Tsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, Beijing University of Science and Technology, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Beijing Jiaotong University are at the core of the research cooperation network. The characteristics of geographical aggregation are the main factors affecting the strength of scientific research cooperation. Different kinds of universities belong to different block models, occupy different positions and roles, and have different structural functions. After ten years' development, the scientific research cooperation of universities in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has formed a dynamic and evolution network.
