Discussion on the Relationship among four core Evaluation Indexes of Periodical

Abstract: In order to research the relationship among the periodical evaluation indexes including paper quantity, total cited frequency, impact factor and comprehensive evaluation score. Literature measurement and statistical methods were used to analyzed the four indexes with SPSS 19.0 based on the data from 2014 China's Science and Technology Journal Citation Reports (Core) by Science and Technology Information Research Institute of China. The results showed that the amount of published articles were positive related to the cited frequency; the number and impact factor and comprehensive evaluation score in physics were positively correlated, but in agriculture and agricultural engineering, clinical medicine, electronic technology, computer science and technology showed no correlation; the cited frequency, impact factor and comprehensive evaluation score were positively correlated, especially between impact factor and comprehensive evaluation score. It illustrated that cited frequency, impact factor and comprehensive evaluation score influenced each other, and played a major role in the periodical evaluation. In addition, the appropriate number was in favour of improving cited frequency, which provided reference for periodicals to improve influence.
