Research on Service Function Design of Institutional Repository in Colleges and Universities in Ethnic Areas Based on User Demand——Taking Inner Mongolia University of Technology as an Example

Abstract: Institutional repository is the integration of digital resource integrating the academic achievements produced by the members of the institution in their learning and working process. Colleges and universities serve as a base for high-level talents training in ethnic areas, are of great significance to construct institutional repository. Taking Inner Mongolia University of Technology as an example, this paper discussed the necessity of constructing institutional repository in colleges and universities in ethnic areas, and analyzed the existing problems. Through investigating and summarizing the user demand, it put forward that the construction of institutional repository in Inner Mongolia University of Technology should be guided by the demands of users with the service as the core, and designed three service functional modules for IMUT-IR.
