In order to put forward constructive measures to change the development path of libraries in the future, this paper discusses and analyses the development trend, prospective application and technological development of 5G to readers' behavior habits. [Methods] Expanding research areas, research on the relationship between communication technology updating and reader behavior based on large data, combining readers' needs and subjective experience. This paper analyses the characteristics of library readers' behavior under the future 5G technology. [Limitation] At present, the impact of 5G technology on libraries is still in its infancy. There is no unified thought in academic practice and theory. It is very important of grasping the future development direction of libraries, and then finding accurate response strategies. [Conclusions] 5G technology is both a challenge and an opportunity for the development of libraries. Researchers should expand their research areas, seek coping strategies, and establish technological development ideas including Dalian Connection Technology, Cloud Computing, AI Services and Decentralization and the management concept of "de-centralization".
