Performance Analysis of Electronic Resource in University Libraries

Abstract: With the increasing proportion of electronic resource purchasing in university libraries, the performance evaluation of electronic resource is increasingly necessary. Combining with the research situation, this paper selected the performance evaluation indicators of electronic resource, and carried out the performance evaluation of ten purchased databases, and conducted the comparison on the use of electronic resource in vertical with more than 10 national university libraries. The conclusion was that the university libraries should adjust the contents or weights of indicators based on the reality and evaluate the electronic resource by combining the horizontal method with vertical method to provide reliable reference for library resource construction.
