Study on the role Definition Theory Framework of University Library Based on MOOC

Abstract: Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) has begun to take shape since its creation. As the international tide swept China, China’s MOOC momentum has been unstoppable, showing a subversive influence on the whole education. This paper briefly introduced the meaning and development history of MOOC. Through the analysis on the role definition of university library in the environment of MOOC, it discussed the possible innovation service pattern of university library. Based on the SWOT analysis, it gave the countermeasures and the suggestions to the library and librarians about how to truly embed MOOC core work.
