Opportunity of Libraries’ Service Innovation Provided by ICBI

Abstract: In this paper, the viewpoint was proposed that Internet of things, Cloud computing, Big data and Intelligent technologies (ICBI for simplicity) could be incorporated to create new opportunity for libraries’ intelligent service. The libraries should adapt to the new era, and seize the development opportunity accurately provided by ICBI. Smart library and its smart service should be developed vigorously within the current system of libraries. IoT technology was applied to collect vast amounts of library-related data, while Big data, Cloud computing and Intelligent technologies were used to analyzed and processed the collected data. And then, the extracted knowledge can be used to optimize the management and service of libraries.
