Abstract: From the definition, characteristics and functions of collaborative library, this paper analyzed the strategic significance of collaborative library in the development of public library in the new period. Combined with the cooperation theory on collection region, collection content, organization and purchasing, as well as Wiki cooperation theory, it further pointed out the matters needing attention in the development of collaborative library, and put forward new strategic system for collaborative library to provide some reference for library construction in the new period.
