Research on the Application of Data Mining in University Library's Reading Promotion

Abstract: The emergence and popularization of reading promotion activity, is a product of library that develops to a certain gradation and certain level. Library's reading promotion work, to some extent, is the inevitable historical development, but also the historical development trend. As the continuous development of information technique, library has accumulated a wealth of digital information resource. Using data mining technique to analyze and excavate reading data and access records, and then find readers' reading habits and provide reading promotion service, has important theoretical and practical significance in improving the utilization rate of library information resource and giving response to national policy, as well as establishing scholarly society and highlighting library's benefit and value.
