Exploration on the Service of Audio Reading Promotion in Public Libraries

Abstract: [Purpose/Significance] Library is a cultural front for reading promotion. Currently, China is vigorously promoting reading for all. As a new way of reading, audio reading has gradually won more and more people's attention and applause. [Method/Process] The article attempts to understand the current situation of audio reading promotion in public libraries through the literature survey method and analyzes the significance and driving force of audio reading promotion. It is proposed that public libraries should first focus on building audio reading resources with their own characteristics and digital audio resource sharing platforms. [Results/Conclusions] Public libraries should conform to the trend of the times, provide reader needs-oriented service and carry out multiple-dimensional audio reading promotional activities.
