Study on Information Literacy Education Embedded in the Study Process of Postgraduates’ Dissertation for Libraries

Abstract: The paper analyses Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education in USA for the four periods during postgraduates’ research of dissertation. Combined with the practice of information literacy education in University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the information literacy education strategy is discussed ,which is embedded in the four periods of postgraduates’ research of dissertation including choosing a dissertation topic, dissertation proposal, research and experiment, paper writing.
