Thoughts on University Library's Reading Promotion Work under the Background of MOOC

Abstract: This paper revealed the connection between reading promotion in university libraries and MOOC, including long-life learning idea, importance of reading and librarians as tutors of MOOC courses, and hence advocated that it was practical for university libraries to innovate reading promotion by means of embedding into and initiating MOOC courses, and finally concluded the key points for university library's reading promotion from 3 aspects as following: analysis of requirement of readers and interactions with readers, establishment of librarian capabilities and contact and collaboration with other departments.
