American Colleges’ Library Education for the Freshman from the Perspective of FYE

Abstract: This paper introduced American colleges’ FYE programs, and how colleges participated in the FYE and outreached to the freshman. Combined with China’s college library service for the freshman, this paper gave some advices, including extending education for the freshman, outreaching the content and depth of education and innovating education model.
