Analysis on the Role of Bibliographic Data Compiled by RDA in User Service

Abstract: All libraries and related institutions can fully understand and make use of RDA to compile related bibliographic data. Cataloguers can integrate all the advantages of RDA into bibliographic records while making bibliographic data, maximizing the role of RDA bibliographic data, and enhancing the level of user services.In this paper, the role of bibliographic data compiled by RDA in user service was analyzed, and also the way to maximize the role of bibliographic data based on RDA was summarized by the method of comparative research, conceptual analysis and literature research. By analyzing the characteristics and advantages of bibliographic data compiled by RDA, a better way was found for library with user centered to excavate the information resources and improve the service level. A new channel was opened for the library catalogers to improve business skills and service ability. While for the users, more available resources can be obtained and much space can be expanded by searching useful information.
