Review on the Value-added Service of Government Public Information in Public Libraries of China

Abstract: Since the implementation of the Regulations on the Open Government Information of the People's Republic of China, research on the value-added service of government public information in public libraries in China has made great achievements. The statistical analysis of research results can contribute to the development of public libraries in the future. Based on CNKI full-text database, this paper searched for research papers about the value-added service of government public information in public libraries in recent y-ears, and analyzed the distribution and themes. Through the analysis, the public libraries of China obtained some results in this domain, but also had some insufficiencies. It then put forward that researchers should proceed from the actual situation of library and combine with the foreign experience, to further strengthen the theory and practice research and provide valuable advice for public libraries in carrying out the value-added service of government public information.
