Study on Local University Library's Community Service Taking Library of Hubei Polytechnic University as Example

Abstract: University library should open for social readers and community readers as possible. The communities near Library of Hubei Polytechnic University have the demands on library service. Based on its geographical advantage and resource advantage, through changing the service idea, opening the library resource and guiding the community readers to use library resource reasonably, Library of Hubei Polytechnic University carried out some effective practice in servicing community, which promoted the cultural prosperity of community and met the cultural needs of residents, and also played a certain role in promoting the development of university.
