The Development of China’s Postgraduate Education in Library Science

Abstract: Based on the classification statistical data of 36 institutions in master education and 9 institutions in doctor education of library science in 2015, the paper analyzed the present status of postgraduate education in library science in China from the aspects including the geographical distribution, admission departments, research directions, etc. And it compared these data between master and doctor, with the previous study data. On the basis of statistical analysis, it explored and analyzed the current development of China’s postgraduate education in library science, and then pointed out the existing problems and suggested some reference ways.
