A Review on the Library Service Based on the Professional Knowledge Information Needs

Abstract: From the perspective of the information satisfaction among college students, this article evaluates four whole new library service patterns: integrated infor-mation literacy education, information retrieval training embedded in thesis writing, subject-based gateway and subject know edge service. The author also introduces the “anti-embedded”information retrieval teaching being carried on in Hainan University Library, and analyzes its feasibility and influences on improving professional knowledge information for college students. It is desirable that this paper will bring more ideas into relative research.
