Analysis on the Advantages and Trend of Digital Reading in Universities ——A case of Wuhan University of Science and Technology

Abstract: According to the 12th China national reading survey, in 2014, the library reading rate of Chinese adult was 58.0% and digital reading rate was 58.1%, which meant that the proportion of digital reading was more than traditional reading for the first time. With the widespread application of smart phones and electronic devices, digital reading in universities has also presented the trend of steady rise year by year. Through the investigation and statistics on the status of digital reading in Wuhan University of Science and Technology, this article analyzed the advantages and trend of digital reading in universities to provide reference for the rapid and stable development of digital reading.
