Playing the Advantages of Journal of Agricultural University to Build Academic Exchange Platform——Example of Journal of Huazhong Aagricultural University (Natural Science Edition)

Abstract: Based on the empirical research, by using the bibliometrics method, 1605 articles in 60 issues of Journal of Huazhong Agricultural University (Natural Science Edition) from 2005 to 2014 were statistically compared and analyzed on some important indicators, such as the article number, fund assistance, high-yield authors and highly cited papers, to reveal the Journal’s academic quality and distribution of research papers. As a high-quality periodical with distinct characteristics and highlighted proceedings, and strong professional and higher academic influence, the journal played an important role in leading and promoting the university’s discipline development. Some suggestions for the journal were given, including exploring and developing to strengthen cooperation inside and outside and carry out multi-level joint research, playing the advantages of agricultural university journal to build a broad and deep academic exchange platform for researchers.
