Abstract: Based on SCI-E and SSCI, this paper made data investigation and quantitative analysis of three countries' funded papers, including U.K, U.S.A and China, about library and information science between 2009 and 2014, aiming to provide some useful reference for the improvement of China's science fund system and the formulation of library and information science funding strategy through the comparison of this three countries in funding performance, cooperation, multiple funding and fund agency. Results showed: China had large paper outputs with low quality, mainly relying on domestic funding, and duplicate funding phenomenon existed. U.K had better funding performance and overall quality, mainly relying international cooperation and foreign aid funding, and the lack of funding was obvious. U.S.A had significant funding performance and high overall quality, mainly relying on domestic fund with the domestic partnership oriented, and was also lack of funding.
