Abstract: The article mainly introduced national pomology research institute in America, Canada, England, Japan and Korea. These countries whose research fundings are mainly from state funding all give more attention on scientific development of fruits and conduct basic research and applying research chiefly. National level research institute often undertake projects which are basic,exploratory or get economic reward slowly.
