Abstract: Knowledge map was widely used in business management at first and introduced in library management by experts and scholars, and soon became one of the hotspots in library management. However, actually introducing it into library management and service was numbered. In this paper, the concept of knowledge map was introduced to library knowledge service. Firstly, the background, characteristics and functions of knowledge maps were described. Then, it was compared with traditional information service. Finally, the knowledge map was applied in library knowledge service to provide better service for users.
