Abstract: This paper expounded the advantages of applying vein recognition system to realize unlicensed borrowing, and gave the working principle and composition of vein recognition system, and then elaborated the application of vein recognition system in the unlicensed library from three aspects covering the establishment of user identity database, user identity authentication and users’ book lending, and finally analyzed the existing problems through collecting upfront input costs, workload, user acceptance and equipment identification accuracy of vein recognition system in unlicensed library's promotion.
