Abstract: This paper explained the origin and contents of the principle of performance, and revealed the intimate connection between this principle and the enhancement of positive energy in library. It analyzed how the principle of performance performed against the negative energy around the librarians, including low mood, slacking psychology, psychological inversion and irresponsibility, and how the principle of performance promoted positive energy such as positive work attitude, enthusiastic service attitude. Based on the principle of performance, it proposed some measures to enhance the positive energy of library from the view of individual, team and management system respectively.
