Abstract: Innovation is the soul of human progress and the source of national prosperity. The key of innovation lies in talent, and college students are the dominant force to improve the national innovation capacity. In modern times, innovation and entrepreneurship among college students has been becoming more and more popular, while university library has an irreplaceable role in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship abilities of students. Under the background of innovation and entrepreneurship, this paper proposed some suggestions for university library construction to make libraries play a greater role in the process of college students’ innovation and entrepreneurship, such as strengthening innovation and entrepreneurship education, ensuring the service-oriented library construction, raising the level of academic exchange, promoting new reading mode and strengthening cooperation with enterprises to improve library construction, so as to make college students realize the practical application of knowledge.
