Abstract: Patron-driven acquisition (PDA) is one of the books purchasing ways, used in American University library for the demand of readers, from the point of resource utilization and user evaluation, PDA has a broad application prospect. In this paper, starting from the concept and process of PDA, analyzes its advantages, at the same time, different vehicle types literature interview pattern in university library has carried on the comprehensive analysis, Based on the advantage of the PDA reference, Discussing on a new mode of books procurement more convenient to operate for library, in order to find a more suitable for the development of the domestic library books purchase.
