University Librarianship Development in Recent Three Decades in China：——A Comparison of Three Revisions of Ordinary University Library Regulations

Abstract: Based on the comparison of three revisions of Ordinary University Library Regulations, this paper studied and interpreted the modified contents including the nature and function of university library, library staff, literature and information resource development, and library service and management, revealing to some extent that university librarianship in China has been witnessing a rapid development and transformation in terms of rules and regulations, essential functions, staff team, literature resource construction, as well as basic service and innovative ideas in recent three decades.
