An Empirical Analysis on Research Productivity of Psychology in China under the Background of “Double First-Class” Based on the Perspective of C100

Abstract: Academic research basis is the inherent logic of the construction of first-class discipline. This paper used the C100 index evaluation system to analyze the overall situation of academic productivity in psychology in China from the perspective of periodicals, institutions and authors. It found that psychology interdisciplinary research ability was not strong, "first-class" academic productivity was relatively weak, the team size was too small, and the relationship between the discipline of psychology and the university was complex. To establish "first-class" psychology, it must keep the dual focus with discipline oriented and problem oriented, maintain the relative balance between the evolutionary power and the optimization power of discipline, and realize the common concern of the introduction and cultivation of high-level academic talents.
