Discussion on the Basic Functions of Future Public Library from the Perspective of Users

Abstract: By collecting the essays form “Most Beautiful Library in My Mind” activity held by Guangxi Library, this paper summarized the basic library functions mentioned in the essays form the perspective of users to three contents including physical environment, interpersonal environment and value-added service of library, and proposed that the basic functions of future library should focus on users’ needs and reform its service to improve the quality of reader service and eventually satisfy the readers.
