Abstract: This paper makes an analysis of characteristics of farmers’information needs by investigating how local farmers use farmhouse reading rooms. Based on the investigation, the author puts forward the suggestions as following: To change the management models of farmhouse reading rooms and establish the general-sub library system; To change the modes of resource allocation and strenthen the targeted resource allocation, To expand the services of farmhouse reading rooms by using modern technologies; To improve the management levels of farmhouse reading rooms through university students volunteer activities; To establish evaluation system of farmhouse reading rooms to promote construction, etc.
