Practice and Thoughts regarding to the Cataloguing Outsourcing

Abstract: With the optimizing of the library's operation mode, the method cataloguing outsourcing has been increasingly introduced by libraries at home and abroad, which directly encourages the improvement of the reader service qualification. This paper introduces the concepts and origin of library catalog outsourcing, discusses its advantages and disadvantages, analysis its current situation and existing problems, and puts forward several suggestions to solve the bottleneck problems impeding the movement of cataloguing outsourcing in our country.
