Abstract: Through the introduction on the main functions of WiseSearch database, this paper summarized the characteristics and advantages of this database, and compared it with the traditional ways, other newspaper databases and network resource. On the basis of the application in National Library of China, it pointed out this database’s practical application value and shortcomings to provide reference for librarians to carry out daily consulting service.
