Abstract: Library's service function is the service management activity based on library information management mode, document resource acquisition form, and plays an important role in university library's function expansion, data resource integration, reader information service and marketing management. Overall, the service function development of library regards the optimization of reader service program and the utilization and development of literature resource as the basis, combining with the functional expansion mechanism formed by social resource acquisition, information service and document management process, so as to locate the library function, optimize social resource sharing system, expand the scope of literature resource sharing. With the current cases, this paper analyzed the service function expansion of university library for the construction of city community culture, and found the obstacle, and promoted the community culture sharing system construction to expand the scope of service, improve the cultural quality of citizens and accumulate experience in localization.
