Abstract: With the widespread use of data analysis methods, decision-making in all walks of life is changing from "business-driven" to "data-driven". By analyzing the collection resource structure and readers' utilization of Shanghai Institute of Technology Library, this paper studied the statistic law of the data and tried to establish the quantitative control strategy of Chinese books purchasing classification based on collection structure and reader's demand, so as to provide valuable reference information for the systematic and continuous construction of collection resource.
