[Purpose/Significance] Consolidating the achievements of targeted poverty alleviation and building a relative poverty reduction mechanism will be the key problem for Chinese government after 2020; information poverty alleviation is expected to play a key role in the future poverty reduction in China. [Method/Process] Based on a systematic literature review and an on-site investigation, this study made an in-depth analysis on the policy documents issued by Chinese government in past decades to shed light on the governance and intervention on information poverty. [Results/Conclusions] Although China's information poverty reduction policy has made remarkable achievements, there are still some problems, including "to pay too much attention on the information infrastructure construction instead of the how to use them", " investment, but not evaluation, is put on the top priority", "the content of information poverty reduction project remains vague", "compared to social level information resource allocation, individual level information poverty intervention is ignored", and " emphasizing too much on the coverage of information sources instead of identification of those vulnerable people in the information society". Thus, based on an analysis of logic association between information poverty and economically relative poverty, this study puts forward some policy related suggestions and potential research items for future research.

[Purpose/Significance] How such public culture service institutions as libraries create a better digital culture environment for children in poor rural areas under the background of digital villages is worth our attention. [Method/Process] The Internet usage behavior and needs and expectations for library services of left-behind children were examined through mixed methods of questionnaire, focus group interviews and one-on-one interviews on the middle school students, teachers and parents in Longshan County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province. [Results/Conclusions] It was found that rural children preferred to use the Internet for entertainment when they were online. Internet use behavior had little to do with left-behind experience, but was significantly related to gender, education of guardians, and surrounding culture environment. The poor rural region is seriously lack of a good digital cultural environment and social support systems for teenagers. Public cultural institutions, such as school libraries and public libraries should improve their functions and services, especially digital culture services according to the needs and behavioral characteristics of teenagers.

Livelihood Reconstruction of Fishermen after Fishing Ban in the Yangtze River: Models, Effects and Suggestions
    LIU Zifei
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2022, 34 (10): 4-11.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.22-0497
    Abstract199)      PDF(pc) (1157KB)(105)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] The 10-year fishing ban in the Yangtze River is a great decision made by the central government based on its overall plan and for the sake of future generations. The reconstruction of fishermen's livelihood is the key and premise in this fishing ban. [Method/Process] This paper took the fishermen who have moved ashore as the research object, and conducted a relatively scientific, systematic and baseline tracking study on the reconstruction of the livelihood of the fishermen after the complete ban on fishing in the Yangtze River. On the basis of clarifying the connotation of the reconstruction of the livelihood of the fishermen who moved ashore the study combined the typical cases investigated to analyze the mode, effects and countermeasures on the livelihood reconstruction of the fishermen in the Yangtze River. [Results/Conclusions] Firstly, the livelihood reconstruction can be divided into broad and narrow senses. The former is a comprehensive investigation under the framework of sustainable livelihood analysis, while the latter focuses on livelihood paths and employment, and includes at least three levels of meaning of substitution, suitability, and sustainability. Secondly, the fishermen's livelihood reconstruction model can be classified into three categories including the government-led, fishermen-led and enterprise-led models. Each of the three modes has its advantages and disadvantages. At last, the fishermen's livelihood reconstruction effect still needs to be improved, which are afffected by both internal and external factors. The former is reflected in the objective constraints of low livelihood capital of fishermen, their low willingness to re-employment, and the subjective reasons of policy gaming. The latter mainly includes the inaccuracy of employment supply, limited financial support, scarcity of natural resources, and low social participation. It is necessary to fully recognize the key role of livelihood reconstruction of fishermen after the fishing ban, and strengthen theoretical research and practical exploration. In the future, the local government should start from coordinating and handling four relationships between the government and the market, short-term and long-term, fairness and efficiency, and protection and scientific development, and take multiple measures to improve the replacement, suitability and sustainability of the livelihood reconstruction of the fishermen who have moved ashore after fishing ban in the Yangtze River.

Influencing Factors of User Participation Behavior in Online Health Community under the Dimension of Emotional Experience
ZHU Yiping, ZHU Yi, ZHANG Cheng
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2022, 34 (10): 15-18.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.22-0680
    Abstract169)      PDF(pc) (1376KB)(173)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] Emotional experience is a purely subjective feeling of the interaction between users and products. Exploring user participation behavior and influencing factors in online health communities under the influence of user emotional experience has obvious significance for retaining users. [Method/Process] A total of 25 users of the online health platform were selected as the research objects. The semi-structured interview method was used, and the basic information of the interviewees was combined with the questionnaire. With the help of grounded theory, the original interview data were coded, and the factors influencing user participation in online health communities were analyzed. Then, the emotional experience and feedback mechanism model of user participation in online health communities was constructed by combining the "emotion-cognitive recursive model". Finally, effective cases were screened from the questionnaire, and the configuration of the influencing factors of user participation behavior and affective feedback was explored based on the principle of qualitative comparative analysis and calculation of fuzzy sets. [Results/Conclusions] Through the grounded theory coding, six factors affecting user participation behavior are obtained: risk perception, platform cognition, demand motivation, platform experience, user emotion and environment. Then combined with the cognitive-affective model, the seven main categories derived from the rooted coding were divided into three dimensions: cognitive assessment, affective experience and participatory behavior. The feedback mechanism of emotional experience after participating behavior is further studied. It is found that the cognitive evaluation including risk perception, platform cognition and demand motivation affects the emotional experience of users, thus affecting their actual participation behavior. In the process of user participation in online health community, the factors of cognitive assessment, emotional experience and participation behavior interact with each other, and have a two-way effect on user participation behavior and user cognitive assessment. Further verification by fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) shows that among the six factors affecting user participation behavior, platform experience and demand motivation are the core conditions affecting user participation in online health community, and the three single factor variables of user emotion, environment and platform cognition do not necessarily affect the generation of user participation behavior. The extraction of influencing factors and the definition of user behavior are not comprehensive, and some real variables and key engagement behaviors may be overlooked. In addition, there is an imbalance in the number of samples on each platform. Follow-up related research can improve the pertinence of the platform and expand the sample capacity.

Identification of Influencing Factors of Health Information Service Quality in Public Libraries Based on Fuzzy DANP
    WANG Guokai
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2022, 34 (10): 33-43.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.22-0367
    Abstract160)      PDF(pc) (1272KB)(116)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] With the gradual increase of the demand for health information of Chinese residents, public libraries, as an important information inquiry institution in China, incorporate health information services into their development plan, which is of great significance to improve the health information literacy of Chinese residents. Through literature research, this paper finds that most of the existing studies focus on the analysis of the current service situation and the optimization of the service mode, while there are few studies on the influencing factors of the health information service quality of public libraries. Therefore, by constructing the indicator system of the influencing factors of the health information service quality of public libraries, and applying the fuzzy DANP method to identify and analyze the influencing factors, this paper provides a method of evaluating health information service quality of public libraries. At the same time, by analyzing the context relationship between the key factors affecting the health information service quality of public libraries, it further puts forward targeted optimization strategies, which have certain theoretical and practical significance for effectively improving the comprehensive service quality of health information in public libraries. [Method/Process] By analyzing the context relationship among the three major factors of information ecology theory, i.e. people, information and information environment, this paper constructed an indicator system of the influencing factors from the four dimensions of health information providers, health information recipients, health information and health information environment, and extracted the influencing factors. Twenty-five health informatics experts were invited to score the relationship of the influencing factors, and then the fuzzy DANP method was introduced to quantitatively identify the influencing factors, sort and determine the weight of each factor, and finally put forward targeted health information service quality optimization strategies based on the calculation results and factor characteristics. Fuzzy DANP analysis method not only retains the advantages of DEMATEL analysis method, but also makes up for the situation that the factor weight in DEMATEL analysis method cannot be quantified, so that the research results have certain accuracy and adaptability. [Results/Conclusions] The research found that health information, health information providers, service capabilities and health information environment have a significant impact on the quality of health information service in public libraries, and the cognitive preferences of health information recipients are affeced by other factors. Therefore, public libraries should improve their service level and create an open space and subdivide user groups and provide accurate services. The quality of health information service in public libraries should be improved from three aspects: improving service environment and improving librarians' skills. At the same time, there are also some limitations in the study: first, the subjective interference of expert scoring and the potential error caused by the small number of samples. Second, the indicaotr system still needs to be improved. In the follow-up research, the indicator system will be further optimized and the number of samples will be increased to deeply analyze the factors affecting the quality of health information service in public libraries.

Status and Influencing Factors of Health Information Literacy of the Rural Elderly
XIONG Huan, LUO Aijing, XIE Wenzhao, HUANG Panhao
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2022, 34 (10): 44-56.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.22-0585
    Abstract243)      PDF(pc) (1237KB)(113)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] In China, the elderly population is huge, and the degree of aging is obviously accelerating. The gap between urban and rural areas is obvious, with the proportion of the elderly population in rural areas being higher than that in urban areas. Along with the accelerating aging process, the health problems faced by the elderly are becoming more and more prominent, and the demand for personal health information literacy will be increasing. Research on health information literacy and health promotion among the elderly, especially the rural elderly, will become an important topic. Therefore, it is important to understand the current situation of health information literacy among rural elderly and explore its influencing factors in order to establish ways and mechanisms to successfully promote health information literacy among rural elderly. [Method/Process] This paper used a mixed approach combining literature review and quantitative research. Firstly, we formulated a questionnaire and proposed a hypothesis on the influence of socio-demographic factors on health information literacy through a review of relevant studies and investigation tools at home and abroad. Then, based on the theoretical model of knowledge, attitudes and behavior and the connotation of health information literacy, we proposed some hypotheses on the interactions between the dimensions of health information literacy. Finally, in the quantitative study, a three-stage sampling was used to conduct a household questionnaire survey of elderly people aged 60 and above in rural areas, and a total of 1 222 valid questionnaires were obtained and the hypothesis testing was performed using regression analysis and path analysis. [Results/Conclusions] The score of health information literacy of rural elderly is lower, the score of health information consciousness dimension is the highest, and the score of health information seeking dimension is the lowest. Education level, time of using smart phones, time of using the Internet, nature of work and health status are the important influencing factors of health information literacy of rural elderly (P<0.05). The most trusted source of health information for rural elderly is medical workers, but they feel it difficult to evaluate and distrust online information. Therefore, strengthening the participation of medical staff in health information literacy education for the elderly and alleviating the conflicts in use of smart phones and the Internet by elderly should be done in order to achieve effective improvement of the health information literacy of the elderly in rural areas. In addition, there are some limitations in this study. The sample size is not large enough, as well as not exploring in depth the factors influencing health information literacy from other factors such as health information behaviors of rural older adults, which will be studied in the future.

FAN Zhixuan, WANG Jian, SA Xu, ZHANG Guilan
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2022, 34 (10): 57-69.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.22-0330
    Abstract125)      PDF(pc) (2671KB)(95)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] This paper aims to study the structure-utility relationship of descriptive information of scientific data to provide a new perspective for the theoretical study of scientific data description and a reference for the best description of agricultural scientific data in the digital environment. [Method/Process] Based on information processing theory, the lens model, the probabilistic mental model theory and the adaptive decision-making behavior framework, the relationship model between descriptive information structure and informing utility was constructed. A situational experiment was designed according to the model. In this study, 47 postgraduates from 14 institutes were invited for quasi-experimental observation by using qualitative and quantitative methods such as eye-tracking, semi-structured interview and questionnaire. First, this study used a semi-structured interview to obtain a user's cognitive interpretation of fixation points and collected the descriptive items of agricultural scientific data and their use frequency by encoding the interview text. Second, this study combined descriptive item usage path coding and user judgment confidence to obtain the combination of descriptive items with high utility. Finally, the study used multiple regression analysis to identify the descriptive items with high utility and their predictive ability, and analyzed the impact of data literacy and data utilization type on the utility of descriptive items. [Results/Conclusions] The study identified 42 descriptive items of 11 categories of agricultural scientific data and their usage characteristics. Among them, the top 5 frequently used descriptive items were subject, data, overall description, source and data production information, which played an important role in user relevance judgment. Then this study identified the combination of descriptive items with high utility and found that users' use patterns of descriptive items were diverse. Compared with making a judgment with "relevant" result, users often needed less information to achieve a high level of confidence when making an "irrelevant" judgment. This study also found that the descriptive items with high utility include source, data, use and evaluation, and data production information. It is determined that user data literacy and data utilization purpose were the influencing factors of descriptive information utility, and the effects of the two factors were preliminarily analyzed. Based on this research, the paper put forward some suggestions for improving agricultural scientific data metadata and scientific data sharing. In the future, this study will be repeated in groups with different academic backgrounds and data literacy levels, so as to enhance the generalization ability of research conclusions and construct a more effective structure of scientific data descriptive information.

    Abstract136)      PDF(pc) (1290KB)(92)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] Sina Weibo is one of the important social media in the Internet era, and its users play a key role in the development quality of its information services. Analyzing the factors that affect the quality of Sina Weibo information services from the perspective of users will help to improve the information service level, improve the efficiency of information service, and promote the more humanized development of Sina Weibo. [Method/Process] The grounded theory was selected as the research method. Through the process of data collection, three-level coding, saturation test, etc., a model of factors affecting the information service quality of Sina Weibo was constructed. Three factors, namely user base, user experience and user demand, were summarized and their effects on the information service quality were analyzed empirically using statistical methods. The rationality of the model was empirically analyzed by multilevel regression analysis. [Results/Conclusions] The research conclusion shows that user base, user experience and user demand have significant positive effects on Sina Weibo information service quality, among which user base is a guarantee factor, user perception is a key factor, and user demand is a driving factor. To be specific, user base includes user nature, spread scope and interactive experience. A large number of users from a wide range of sources constitute a good online community ecology, which is the fundamental guarantee for the development of Sina Weibo. At the same time, the quality of information service determines the user's experience. Therefore, Sina Weibo should continuously improve the quality of information service to ensure its long-term use. User experience contains user satisfaction and user preference. Specifically, it is reflected in the experience generated by users in the process of using Sina Weibo. Sina Weibo adjusts its information service mode according to users' feelings, so as to improve the quality of information service. Therefore, user experience has a significant positive impact on Sina Weibo information service quality. WANG Xin, LU Yao, YUAN Xue, ZHAO Wanjing, CHEN Li, LIU Minjuan
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2022, 34 (10): 82-90.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.21-0906
    Abstract368)      PDF(pc) (1018KB)(468)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] This paper investigates the research on author name disambiguation published in recent years, and reviews the development context of relevant research from the perspective of the impact of data on author name disambiguation methods, so as to provide reference for further research. [Method/Process] The papers related to author name disambiguation were collected from English research databases such as Web of Science, Scopus, Google Academic, ACM Digital Library, IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect, Scopus and Springer Link, and Chinese research databases such as CNKI, CQVIP and WANFANG. The search results cover the relevant papers published from 1998 to 2021. On the premise of giving consideration to authority, influence and novelty, 46 publicationswere selected for review. There are many types and structures of author name disambiguation data. For example, literature feature information is generally presented in unstructured text, and the extracted features can be stored and represented in two-dimensional tables; Citation information and interpersonal relationship are network relational data, which can be stored and represented by graphs, key value pairs or two-dimensional tables. The fundamental reason for different data structures lies in their semantic differences, but the data structure itself determines its applicable algorithm. According to the structure of characteristic data used in the author name disambiguation task and the different corresponding data processing algorithms, the relevant research is divided into three categories: 1) disambiguation method based on literature characteristics, 2) disambiguation method based on social network and 3) disambiguation method by integrating external knowledge. The impact of data on the author name disambiguation method is examined from the data level. [Results/Conclusions] The analysis found that with the progress of technology, deep learning methods have been widely used. Compared with the improvement of the model, the feature learning and representation based on deep learning can significantly improve the effect of the author name disambiguation algorithm. In addition, in order to overcome the problem of insufficient data utilization by a single method and improve the utilization efficiency of data, the three methods show the trend of mutual combination and complementary gain. From the literature research results, there are few related studies on incremental author name disambiguation and multi-language author name disambiguation, which could be one of the directions for further research.

    Abstract114)      PDF(pc) (1061KB)(143)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] This paper mainly discusses the operational logic and value embodiment of the new media ecological and innovative service by public libraries from five aspects of audio-visual, intelligent, virtual IP, value guidance and integration, and promotes the new media service by public libraries through paying attention to the trend of industry rules, rationally allocating resources, and advocating cooperation and sustainable development. Finally, we will build a new media service with high sharing and high effectiveness, matching with social benefits, realizing intelligent knowledge management and sharing, forming a knowledge grid for intelligent exploration, discovery, storage, sharing, transmission and connection of information resources, and constructing a new media service with certain competitiveness that can provide high-level think tank services. [Method/Process] Based on the research methods of literature survey, online survey and participatory observation, this paper took the main new media accounts of 150 public libraries above the county level in Guangdong Province as the survey objects, relying on the business data platform of Guangdong Provincial Library, and from the users’ publishing and reading of new media such as WeChat, Weibo, Tik Tok and WeChat Video. We investigated the current situation of new media services of public libraries in the whole province, explored the key contents of new media ecological innovation and development of public libraries, and put forward innovative development strategies accordingly. [Results/Conclusions] The development of new media ecological innovation in public libraries mainly includes five key points: audio-visual, intelligent, virtual IP, value guidance and integration, which have great room for utilization and improvement in practice. Based on the analysis of the above five key services, through the introduction and analysis of a number of digital professional data reports, combined with the development trend of the new media industry, market demand and the application of new technologies, as well as the application practice of new media in public libraries, five innovative development strategies have been put forward. First, public libraries are suggested to develop audio-visual marketing, deep cultivation of popular knowledge and value-led short videos and to launch audio services adapted to the "ear economy" and expand more learning audio-visual platforms. Second, public libraries pay attention to digital intelligence empowerment, actively explore intelligent scenarios, create a multi-dimensional new media memory storage service warehouse, and explore panoramic interaction and think tank services. Third, the combination of virtual and real service in public libraries tries to integrate with the depth of new technology, and form a long-term IP ecological operation. Fourth, an emphasis should be put on value guidance, cultural mission, dissemination of red culture, and positive energy guidance. Fifth, a high degree of integration is built on a cross-border synergy matrix, and promote the integration of traditional media and new media.

Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2022, 34 (11): 5-13.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.22-0890
    Abstract148)      PDF(pc) (1042KB)(110)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] It is the requirement of the present times to build an independent knowledge system of evidence-based digital humanistic paradigm with Chinese characteristics. [Method/Process] Based on the World 3 theory developed by Popper, this study defines the essence of digital humanities research as representing, revealing and reproducing the structure of the objective knowledge world. Furthermore, based on the paradigm theory developed by Kuhn, this paper deeply discusses the basic theoretical elements of the independent knowledge system of the evidence-based digital humanities paradigm with Chinese characteristics. In this paper, the carding of the elements of evidence-based digital humanities theory is carried out from the perspective of the scientific community of digital humanities research. That is to say, the research that adheres to the evidence-based ideology and method of digital humanity is identified as the same research community, and it is believed that evidence-based digital humanities will build a relatively independent knowledge system in the future. [Results/Conclusions] This paper argues that the combination of the basic principles of Marxism and the excellent traditional Chinese culture is the ideological basis of the independent knowledge system of evidence-based digital humanities with Chinese characteristics. The collective memory of the Chinese nation with a long history and its carrier constitute the cultural basis of the independent knowledge system. The rich ancient literature works have laid a solid literature foundation for the formation of the independent knowledge system of evidence-based digital humanities with Chinese characteristics. Under the guidance of mutual evidence between literature and history, bibliography with distinctive Chinese academic characteristics has laid a solid methodological foundation for the evidence-based digital humanistic with Chinese characteristics. Under the context of digital intelligence era, building an evidence-based digital humanities independent knowledge system with Chinese characteristics will not only be benefitial to improving the cultural self-confidence of the Chinese people, but also have an obvious important significance in providing the world with a distinctive cultural heritage and cultural memory solutions. In the face of the massive traditional Chinese cultural resources, especially the precious cultural heritage including ancient literature works, it is not only timely but also imperative to apply emerging natural language processing, artificial intelligence, machine learning and related advanced technologies, to carry out in-depth digital humanities research. The theoretical discussion conducted by this research is expected to benefit the construction of an evidence-based digital humanities independent knowledge system with Chinese characteristics.

Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2022, 34 (11): 14-25.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.22-0891
    Abstract132)      PDF(pc) (1602KB)(83)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] Evidence acquisition is one of the most critical factors affecting evidence-based digital humanities research. The first-hand evidence contained in the ancient literature works is an important way to carry out digital humanities research, and thus, the purpose of this research is to shed light on the evidence-based digital humanities research process based on the empirical analysis of Bao's Zhan Guo Ce, which is one of the most influential books in Chinese history. [Method/Process] In the face of rich and diverse Chinese ancient literature works, it is of theoretical and practical value to build an independent knowledge system with Chinese characteristics based on the evidence-based paradigm of digital humanities. For this reason, the present research used the natural language processing (NLP) method to analyze Bao's Zhan Guo Ce in Jiayan Library, which is tailored for the NLP analysis of Chinese ancient literature works. By using co-word analysis, this research comprehensively discusses how digital humanities researchers carry out systematic research based on first-hand evidence from ancient literature via word frequency analysis, visualization of co-words, cluster analysis, centrality degree analysis, etc. Social network analysis (SNA), NetworkX algorithm and co-word visualization procedure are applied to give us insight into how to extract the first-hand evidence from ancient literature works. [Results/Conclusions] The key results include a procedure on how to extract first-hand evidence from ancient literature works like Bao's Zhan Guo Ce, in digital humanities research via Python. Specifically, the procedure includes basic word frequency indicators, a tool of removal of stop words, process of recognition and removal of ambiguous words. Furthermore, this study also takes Bao's Zhan Guo Ce as an example to show the basic procedure of analyzing first-hand evidence in digital humanities research by using a series of statistical analysis methods and indicators such as co-word network visualization, clustering coefficient, centrality degree, and structural hole recognition. The procedures, tools and methods demonstrated in this study are expected to provide reference for completing the evidence-based digital humanity research paradigm of first-hand evidence. Thus, the procedures, tools, statistical indicators and algorithm demonstrated in this research are expected to provide a foundation for building an independent knowledge system of evidence-based digital humanities with Chinese characteristics.

Exploring the Paradigm of Secondhand Evidence Based Digital Humanity Research: A Case Study of Dunhuang Wooden and Bamboo Slips of Han Dynasty
WEN Yufeng, MA Qianni, YANG Kehu, ZHOU Wenjie
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2022, 34 (11): 26-37.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.22-0892
    Abstract151)      PDF(pc) (2730KB)(110)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] The research paradigm of digital humanities provides an opportunity for researchers to conduct evidence-based research based on second-hand resources. The second-hand evidence in the evidence-based digital humanities research mainly refers to the secondary evidence obtained by researchers through analysis of the original literature records. Academic papers are such an example of second-hand evidence and analysis of these papers enables us to be focused on the exploration, discussion and comprehension of the specific evidence. [Method/Process] This paper aims to shed light on the theoretical basis related to second-hand evidence based digital humanities research, and conduct an empirical analysis with Dunhuang wooden and bamboo slips of Han Dynasty. Through the coding analysis of 287 relevant research papers downloaded from the CNKI database, the reliability and validity of the research were tested, and a comprehensive analysis of the category system was conducted. On this basis, two independent coders systematically coded all academic papersby, and a coding system was formed with reliable reliability and validity. This coding system provided us a foundation to summarize the procedure of extracting the second-hand evidence from academic papers in the digital humanities research. [Results/Conclusions] This paper issued a three-stage and five- link procedure for second-hand evidence based digital humanity research. The "three stages" refer to the systematical literature retrieval, category formulation and comprehensive analysis of the second-hand evidence elements and the five links include evidence retrieval, reliability test, validity test, category construction and evidence element synthesis. The procedure developed by this research is expected to shed light on the knowledge organization of ancient literature works and lay a foundation for the digital humanities research based on the secondary resources like academic papers. Thus, based on the above procedure, the researchers in the digital humanities area are able to extract fruitful second-hand evidence from secondary resources (academic papers, for example) instead of acquiring initial evidence. This procedure may benefit the evidence-based digital humanity research because it is always a challenging task for individual researcher to access the initial research material like Dunhang wooden and bamboo slips of Han Dynasty. In summary, the paradigm constructed in this study has certain theoretical reference and practical guidance value for the construction of evidence-based digital humanities subject, and academic and discourse system. Thus, it is expected to benefit the construction of independent knowledge system of evidence-based digital humanities with Chinese characteristics.

Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2022, 34 (11): 38-47.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.22-0893
    Abstract133)      PDF(pc) (1295KB)(88)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] Evidence-based approach has become an important research paradigm in such social research fields as management, education, economy, and law. In the research of digital humanities, how to obtain and process evidence from the original literature in order to effectively solve research problems is an important research topic. [Method/Process] This paper took the hierarchical social cognition theory as the theoretical basis for the evidence integration process of digital humanities research. From this perspective, the present research uses the theory of ecosystem for reference to integrate levels of evidence, the forms of evidence, evidences' carrier, information organization and the difference ways in which digital humanities researchers analyze the evidence as the same framework to shed light on the whole landscape of evidence-based digital humanities research. Furthermore, this study summarized the key value of evidence-based digital humanities research as to improve the validity of the evidence based on the research design theory and cognition theory. Due to the academic tradition of mutual verification between literature and history in digital humanities research, this paper also combined different evidence sources as different matrixes to integrate the evidence to demonstrate the specific evidence integration types of evidence-based digital humanities research. Based on the above research procedures, this paper also proposed a roadmap for future evidence-based digital humanities researchers to conduct more evidence synthesis related research from the perspective of integrating knowledge-based evidence and relational evidence. [Results/Conclusions] We put forward a hierarchical structure framework of the evidence-based digital humanities research ecosystem. Original evidence, initial processing evidence, secondary processing evidence, third processing evidence and the comprehensive evidence formulated five levels of this framework with a structure from the low level to the high level. Based on above theoretical framework, we concluded that coordination with validity and cognition as the theoretical motivation of the evidence integration in evidence-based digital humanities research. Systematic review and information organization are regarded as two instruments for evidence integration and the multiple mutual confirmation of various types of initial or secondary evidence is regarded as the practical tendency of evidence integration process in the evidence-based digital humanities research. Specifically, this research summarized two mutual confirmation evidence matrixes of the same evidence source and different evidence sources. The demonstration of evidence integration in evidence-based digital humanities research proposed in this paper is expected to benefit for building an independent knowledge system of evidence-based digital humanities with Chinese characteristics.

    MA Xiaocui, CAO Ningxin
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2022, 34 (11): 48-56.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.22-0547
    Abstract138)      PDF(pc) (1103KB)(79)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] The transformation of public libraries into smart libraries depends on the continuous improvement of their own service capacity. With a growing interest in the construction of smart libraries, this paper takes public library service capacity as the research object and explores the construction and promotion path of public library service capacity, offering a guidance for public libraries' transformation into smart libraries. [Method/Process] Following the research ideas from the current situation to the future development, this paper first studied the three-stage evolution of public library service development through literature review, and re-examines the concept, characteristics and requirements of public library service capacity in the era of smart libraries. Then, based on the existing standard system, and considering the new demands in the smart library era, we explored the service capacity system of public libraries with an analysis on the constituent elements and influencing factors. [Results/Conclusions] The transformation of public libraries into smart libraries is a long and gradual process, and the construction of public library service capacity will also be a dynamic process of continuous in-depth development. Therefore, public libraries are suggested to promote their service capacity step by step based on their factor structure. The construction of public library service capacity in the era of smart libraries includes five dimensions: resource capacity, talent capacity, cultural capacity, management capacity and environmental ability. Therefore, we suggest that public libraries improve their service capacity through five paths, including (1) to build a resource system based on smart service through integration and reorganization; (2) to cultivate the ability of librarians based on smart service through enabling librarians' growth; (3) to build an organizational culture based on smart service through reshaping the concept; (4) to innovate the management model based on smart service evaluation and assessment; (5) to create a cooperation environment based on smart services through alliance collaboration, so as to promote the development of public libraries. This research provides specific methodological guidance for the construction of public library service capacity. However, due to the limitation of time, the integrity of the service capacity indicator system in this research still needs to be verified. We will continue to conduct the in-depth research based on the theory and evaluation system of library service capacity, and refine the indicators, so as to provide theoretical basis and reference for public libraries to establish their smart library strategic planning based on service capacity evaluation.

Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2022, 34 (11): 57-68.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.22-0457
    Abstract153)      PDF(pc) (1901KB)(107)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] Based on the research of library transformation from the mode of "high-speed growth" to "high-quality development", this paper addressed the green development as one of the key routes for the transformation of public libraries and provides a multifaceted definition of green development and sustainability from home and abroad as applied to public libraries. [Method/Process] By investigating the transformation and development of domestic libraries in recent years and drawing on the experience from a range of international projects, this paper found out how dedication to be sustainable and green action has become more central and widespread in the library sector worldwide. Successful examples were drawn from IFLA Green Library Award as well as other innovative programs, services, buildings and projects based on increasing consciousness around the green development. This paper integrated an overview of various efforts to define the green library and arguements for sustainable libraries. At the same time, some typical examples of libraries' environmental awareness and sustainability have been presented. [Results/Conclusions] This paper puts foreword the key areas to implement the concept of green development in libraries, including library buildings, facilities and equipment, collections, information services, operational management as well as library strategic development plan, thus incorporating the library development in the scope of environmental, economic and social sustainability. Libraries should take into account the environmental impact of their building as well as their own activities. They should also consider their specific features, not just the criteria for green buildings and offices. Besides, they can promote recycling and sharing in the community in various ways. These actions can raise environmental friendliness as a value and signals the importance of environmental issues to the community. In the aspect of resource development, the basic task of libraries is to ensure open and easy access to reliable information, which includes environmental information. With the provision of information, libraries should also promote the information retrieval skills of the community in order to improve the information literacy of the public with regard to environmentally sustainable awareness. In conclusion, libraries should create an environmental strategy that defines the means and objectives of the environmental work. It is important to raise awareness of the role public libraries can play in the near future, showing proof of their contribution to UN 2030 Agenda and SDGs by measuring and gathering evidence of their performance, namely the access to information and knowledge, access to information infrastructures as well as literacy competences development.

Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2022, 34 (11): 69-80.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.22-0722
    Abstract326)      PDF(pc) (2213KB)(278)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] The emergence of the metaverse has brought new opportunities to the development of libraries, which can not only solve many challenges and problems faced by libraries since the outbreak of COVID-19 in Wuhan, but also promote the construction of smart libraries to a higher stage of development. [Method/Process] Based on literature research and online survey, this paper focuses on the connotation and characteristics of the metaverse library, constructs the application scenarios of the university metaverse library, and finally discuses the opportunities and challenges faced by the construction of the metaverse library. [Results/Conclusions] In September 2022, the China National Committee for Terminology in Science and Technology (CNTERM) invited more than 20 experts to discuss the metaverse and the concept of core terms and reached a consensus. Metaverse is a virtual world that can interact with the real world by mapping or surpassing the real world, which is constructed by human using digital technology. The metaverse library uses cloud computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain, VR/AR and other technologies as the means to build the virtual space of library services, and is combined with the real space services to provide readers with immersive experience and encourage readers to participate in the virtual community of library resource production. It has eight characteristics: immersive experience, integration of virtual and reality, human-computer interaction, multi-source information resources, space-time expansion, social network, reader economy, and thought twinning and storage. University metaverse library is an important component of Metaverse Library and a service system of university libraries in virtual space. It has the characteristics of Metaverse Library and its own characteristics. The university metaverse library will break the service mode of the real space library, and the learning experience of readers in the library will be more game-like, immersive, simple to operate, strong gain in reality and so on, which fully reflects the concept of "reader-centered". To be specific, the university metaverse library mainly has five application scenarios: virtual digital human exchange, immersive panoramic reading and space experience, librarian avatar interaction, community interaction, and reader creation to reader economy interaction. But the new technology is not yet perfect. The construction of metaverse virtual space resources is difficult; there is a lack of constraints and norms in virtual space reader behavior; the traditional library business will be impacted and other problems are the possible challenges in the process of constructing the university metaverse library. To get out of the dilemma, we need to establish a research team to enrich the practice of new technology in the library, give full play to library technical expertise to solve the problem of resource construction, use laws and regulations to restrict readers' behavior, and promote active use of services to drive the traditional library business.

    Abstract173)      PDF(pc) (1756KB)(103)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] The huge economic benefits of Bt insect resistant genes have attracted great attention of relevant research institutions and enterprises at home and abroad, and these genes and technologies are transformed into their own exclusive rights by using intellectual property rights. Through statistical analysis of Bt insect resistant gene patents collected in 126 countries and regions around the world, this paper provides a reference for China in the development and industrial application of Bt insect resistant genes. [Method/Process] Based on the Global Patent Database of Smart Bud (PatSnap), the title, abstract and claim of the patent were taken as the focus of the search, and the patent analysis method was used to statistically analyze the Bt insect-resistant transgenic patents collected in the past 30 years since 1992. In the process of Bt anti-insect gene research, a large number of patent data were produced. After data cleaning, the "Bt strain", "detection method", "Bt insecticidal reagent" and other patents unrelated to the anti-insect gene were eliminated, and 2,988 patents were obtained, all of which were invention patents. The research status, research hotspots and development trends of global Bt pest resistance genes were studied from the aspects of total patent applications and trend, gene family classification, national/regional distribution, key technology fields, technology flow, institutional competitiveness, patent legalization status, and compound trait patents. [Results/Conclusions] Results show that the global Bt insect-resistant gene technology patent research and development trends, research hotspots and distribution technology gradually remain stable, the trend of patent application and disclosure in China is growing at the same time as that in the world. China's patent applications account for an increasing proportion of the global patent applications. But compared with international patent quality, there is still a gap between China and other countries. Multinational companies are the main body of Bt pest resistance gene market competition, and Chinese applicants are mainly scientific research institutions and universities. The cry1 family is the main target of Bt pest resistance gene patent application. The crystallized protein of Bacillus is a hot topic at present. The United States is the exporting country of Bt insect-resistant gene technology, while China is still in the stage of technology input. The patent failure rate of Bt insect resistance gene is much lower than the average level in this field. There is great potential in the study of fusion genes and gene superposition composite traits. Finally, the development prospects of Bt insect resistance gene technology in China were discussed.

    Abstract188)      PDF(pc) (1016KB)(76)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] Under the background of integration of culture and tourism, and with the development of the concept of all-around education, to carry out study tour service in public libraries will bring a new opportunity for public libraries to promote librarianship. There is a close connection between study tour and public libraries. A public library's taking part in the study tour is based on its functional objective as well as its objective to meet the requirements of modern education. It is an effective way for students to learn based on a lot of research in and out of China, while there are still some problems to face. [Method/process]This paper analyzes the current situation of public libraries' study tour service such as rich source, remarkable service achievement, functional goals and service modes of the libraries by literature review and online survey on education and public library services. Meanwhile it also gives brief introduction on the integrated theories and case study of the study tour service in Japan's public libraries, pointing out that the study tour service is consistent with the service of public libraries as well as accordant with education concept. There are still some challenges to overcome such as out-of-date ideas, the lack of in-depth study on theoretical understanding about study tour service and regulations, the lack of top-level design and practical preparation of the service projects that hinders the high-quality development of the study tour service. [Result/conclusion] Public libraries should adhere to the educational principle of study tour, based on their service functions and resource characteristics, highlight the concept of shared development, as well as innovation path about study tour services in public libraries. [Purpose/Significance] Universities are important institutions for the creation and use of research data. However, how to organize, manage and reuse research data has become a challenging task for universtiy researchers. At present, Chinese university libraries and research institutes have become an important part of institutional repository (IR) construction. Of studies on IR construction by university libraries, there are few cases of embedding research data management (RDM) into IR functions for data preservation and sharing. The relevant theories and practices are still in the exploratory stage and have not been popularized. Therefore, through the investigation of the construction of Japanese IRs for research resource management, some experience is summarized, including the concept of data life cycle management, the optimization of data management policies, and the establishment of a scientific data management platform are applied to the management of scientific data generated by university researchers, the construction of a professional social science data platform for application research, and the conversion of data from decentralized storage to centralized storage and public release, in order to promote academic exchanges and provide innovative services. [Method/Process] IR platforms of 18 university libraries in Japan were selected as the sample. According to the life cycle of "collection - preservation - reuse" of RDM, the characteristics and experience of service construction were summarized from the aspects of RDM content, planning service, policies, and training courses. [Results/Conclusions] The enlightenment for the IRs of Chinese university libraries in their RDM service is summarized as follows: using the data life cycle to carry out the RDM service, optimizing data management policies, formulating RDM norms, developing data management courses, improving data management ability, raising the awareness of RDM among researchers, and paying attention to the training of RDM professionals. This study has several limiations. First, the survey data are not comprehensive enough. This paper only investigated IRs of some university libraries in Japan. Second, the research on the reuse of research data in Chinese universities is not comprehensive enough. Our future research will focus on the value-added development, reuse and sharing of research data.

[Purpose/Significance] The olfactory experience can influence human emotion and cognition. Space olfactory design enhances our overall activity experience and satisfaction with the whole space environment by awakening our positive emotional feelings and promoting the positive nature of behavioral activities. It provides reference and inspiration for the application of spatial olfactory design in public cultural service institutions such as libraries. Therefore, the utility of the olfactory experience for users can be applied to library architectural spaces, so as to increase the loyalty of library users. [Method/Process] This paper used literature research and content analysis method to collect, screen, organize and analyze the related literature on space olfactory design at home and abroad, to review the domestic and international research on the role of space olfactory, and to summarize the research progress and application trends of space olfactory design at home and abroad. The practical application of space olfactory design and the utility of space olfactory experience were analyzed, including the role of space odor design on emotional arousal, memory utility of space-related events and on other sensory behavioral efficiency enhancement, behavioral performance improvement and learning memory capacity improvement. [Results/Conclusions] The study found that international research scenarios on the design of space olfactory were focused mainly on the olfactory experience in special contexts such as learning scenarios and commercial shopping scenarios. In contrast, domestic research on space olfactory design is still at the stage of theoretical exploration, and the empirical research is yet to be explored. Scent marketing in commercial field provides theoretical and practical guidance for library space scent environment design. In addition, in order to create future learning centers based on the perspective of the user's olfactory experience, public libraries need to pay more attention to the consistency of scent with the library's reading space, learning center and cultural and leisure center and other space services, and the mechanism of the influence of the space scent on the subjective emotional feelings of library users and their reading experience, learning behavior and recreational and leisure activities in the libraries. The olfactory sensitivity and olfactory preference of library user groups and librarian groups are the issues that must be considered to realize the olfactory design of library space and are the prerequisites for building a human-oriented library. In addition, based on the spatial activity needs of university libraries, our study can be used as a pilot for library space olfactory design.

Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2022, 34 (12): 55-64.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.22-0374
    Abstract110)      PDF(pc) (1491KB)(107)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] There are many evaluation indicators and methods for journal evaluation, and it is of great significance to study the importance of evaluation indicators of journals. This paper proposed an analysis framework for "post-event" analysis of the importance or weight of evaluation indicators. [Method/Process] This paper divides the journal evaluation indicators into "before" importance and "after" importance, and focuses on the "after" importance, that is, the determination of key indicators after objective cluster analysis. Taking the bibliometric indicators of JCR 2019 economics journals as the research object, K-means clustering was first used to obtain the classification of evaluation results, and then the key indicators of journal evaluation were calculated based on principal component analysis and partial least squares discriminant analysis, and the importance of each indicator was analyzed. Starting from the objective results and the meaning of the indicators themselves, this study expounded the reasons why indicators are important. [Results/Conclusions] Compared with the importance of "before", the importance of "after the fact" is to determine the evaluation results first, without involving weights, and completely based on data evaluation. There is relatively little controversy in the selection of methods. The indicator is more scientific and objective; the use of multi-factor evaluation can comprehensively reflect the common influence of each variable, and the use of the "dimension reduction" idea can better retain the information of the original variables and reduce the multicollinearity of the evaluation indicator; K-means cluster analysis methods, both the PLS-DA and PLS-DA models, are capable of evaluating and classifying journals. According to the results of PLS-DA, the VIP value of five indicators is greater than 1; the three most important indicators that affect the evaluation results of journals obtained by the PLS-DA method are the journal impact factor(IF), the other citation IF and the five-year IF, and the meaning of the indicators is the IF of other citations and the five-year IF make up for the shortcomings of the IF; the importance of the journal IF, the IF of other citations and the five-year IF is not much different, and the importance of the journal IF is relatively greater. In the quantitative evaluation of journals, it is necessary to use multi-index evaluation to make the evaluation more comprehensive and scientific; PLS-DA has a good effect on general journals, but the better journals have a general effect, and cannot effectively distinguish Class A journals.

Optimization of the Acquisition Path of information about Benefiting-Farmers Policies under the Background of Rural Revitalization
    HU Xiaojing, LUO Xianchun
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2022, 34 (12): 65-76.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.22-0517
    Abstract113)      PDF(pc) (1306KB)(114)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] In the context of rural revitalization, China's rural economy has ushered in a new stage of development, and policies to benefit farmers have been formulated. Although there are many ways for farmers to obtain the information about the policies, there are still many obstacles to their access to the information, which affect the dissemination efficiency of the benefiting-farmers policy information and makes it difficult for the policies to achieve their expected effects. Therefore, this paper aims to focus on the optimization of the path for farmers to obtain the information about benefiting-farmers policies, study the information acquisition path from a unique perspective, solve the problem of difficulty in obtaining the policy information, and provide new ideas for optimizing the access path of the information. [Method/Procedure] Through questionnaire survey, this paper investigated farmers’ path to obtain the benefiting-farmers policy information, briefly explained the existing path to access the policy information, analyzed the sample data, and found the obstacles in the process of obtaining the policy information. The existing paths were improved from the three aspects of grammatical, semantic and pragmatic information in the whole information, so as to ensure that farmers can obtain a larger amount of beneficial agricultural information, ensure the quality of the information obtained and the use of the information about the policies to benefit farmers, so as to comprehensively enhance the effectiveness of the information. [Conclusions/Results] Epistemological information, also known as full information, has a richer connotation than ontological information, and is the best way to meet people's needs for using information to understand the world and transform the world. In addition, the information that farmers want to obtain is essentially epistemological information. Therefore, through the perspective of full information, accurate judgment is made from the aspects of form, content meaning and value. Although the focus of each level is different, grammatical information, semantic information, pragmatic information are considered to be an organic whole, not a single individual. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the level from the whole, optimize the different channels for farmers to obtain information about the policies to benefit farmers, so that farmers can make greater use of the information and improve the quality of their life more effectively. In addition, in future studies, the study of the acquisition path of the information about the policies to benefit farmers can be combined with other information models.

Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2022, 34 (12): 77-86.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.22-0159
    Abstract196)      PDF(pc) (1484KB)(150)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] In order to solve the core problems in the digitization process of cultural and creative works in China, taking cultural and creative works as the research object, this paper constructs a metadata hierarchy model of cultural and creative works based on their internal and external information characteristics. This model is standardized, accurately described, easy to operate and adapted to the needs of management and research, and is useful in preservation, transmission, knowledge transformation and innovation of cultural and creative works. This paper aims to provide possible solutions for the digitization process of cultural and creative works and make the maintenance of artistic information resources feasible, which is conducive to the standardized management of the data of literary and creative works and meets the needs of the research, appreciation and dissemination of literary and creative works. [Method/Process] The CDWA data standard is designed to describe artistic works, including the physical form, digital images and the relationship between time and space, characters, history and culture, etc. At the same time, it also has a unique description of elements for the preservation and management, which lays the foundation for data exchange and sharing. The completeness and comprehensiveness of information description of CDWA is quite consistent with the purpose of systematically and comprehensively describing cultural and creative works. Different from AACR2R and RDA to describe paper literature, electronic resources, music works and micro literature, the main purpose of CCO is to promote the standardization of cultural relics such as artworks and their image description. It is the first set of data content standards in the field of cultural assets. The data content standards of CCO focus on descriptive metadata and normative control of artistic works. Based on the above, this paper builds the meta framework of digital resource construction of cultural and creative works, then based on the data content standard CCO, it catalogues and describes the cultural and creative works designed by teachers and students of School of Art and Design of Wuxi Institute of Technology, China, and then promotes the practice of digital construction. [Results/Conclusions] Based on the discussion and analysis of existing metadata models of art and intangible cultural heritage, a metadata model was formed to describe cultural and creative works from three aspects: basic metadata, management metadata and associated metadata. As an indispensable part of revealing, transforming and innovating the cultural and artistic value of artistic works, this paper constructed a modular and extensible metadata standard and model which is much more suitable for cultural and creative works, and provided solutions for the digitization process of cultural and creative works. What's more, this study plays an important role in preservation and inheritance of characteristic resources. It also promoted the formation of new formats and new models of digital cultural and creative industries and provided data support for the vigorous development of China's cultural and creative industries.

Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2022, 34 (12): 87-96.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.22-0037
    Abstract128)      PDF(pc) (1411KB)(115)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] Research on the demand and supply analysis of agricultural literature resources is of great significance to the collection construction of agricultural libraries, especially under the current new situation. The demand analysis of academic resources of agricultural science has always been a difficult task for agricultural special libraries because it covers a wide range of disciplines and involves the multiple cross and integrated applications of various disciplines with agriculture science. This paper innovates the methods of demand and supply analysis based on multi-level information organization and fine-grained data analysis, which would discover both the systematic demands and accurate demands of agricultural researchers, and help to adapt to the changes of agricultural science research paradigm. [Method/Process] This study took the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) as an example, collecting its published foreign language journals and the corresponding cited references, as well as its usage data of foreign language electronic journals databases. Then this paper used the methods of citation analysis, subject organization, etc. to analyze the institutional demand characteristics that include literature language, document type, publication years, disciplines distribution, covered subjects and the utilized database of foreign-language periodical resources. The full-text supply rate of foreign-language electronic journals has been calculated to evaluate the satisfaction and the ability of supplying collection resources. The literature comprehensive utilization index has also been calculated to reflect the literature utilization capacity of CAAS's affiliated institutes by the methods of correlation analysis and multiple correlation coefficient weighting. [Results/Conclusions] The results show that the demands of foreign-language journals of CAAS involve not only classical agricultural disciplines but also some emerging and interdisciplinary fields, and there are big gaps in the level of literature supply and utilization among its affiliated institutes. The construction of literature resource supply system of CAAS should strengthen the demand analysis, enrich the subscription mode of full-text resources, and expand the non-full-text resources. As for the agricultural special libraries, the demand and supply analysis of agricultural science literature resources should follow the development trends of agricultural disciplines, taking into account the systematic and prospective demands, and carry out accurate, thematic and knowledge-based demand analysis in the relevant subject areas. Users can also be encouraged to participate in library collection construction, and diversified demand feedback channels should be provided for them. At the same time, resource construction quality and service efficiency evaluation should also be brought to the forefront.
