Analysis the Survey of Purchasing Books by Public Bidding in 55 University Libraries

Abstract: Based on the questionnaire survey of purchasing books by public bidding in 55 university Libraries, analysis the existing problems of books procurement by public bidding, the successful experience and solutions of it. The Survey showed that: the university library has already formed the stable books procurement by bidding mode; the Chinese and English book discount basic consensus; the standard of judging has basically formed a consensus; but there was a difference in the evaluation criteria, evaluation rules, the execution of the contract, and the evaluation index of the supplier. Librarians should be formulate annual work plan in order to meet the public bidding mode; Librarians should establish contact with important press, collect the important press bibliography; Librarians should formulate evaluation index in detail, and evaluate the supplier regularly.
