Virtual Embedded Information Literacy Teaching Mode in the University Library: Factual Knowledge

Abstract: Under the trend of ubiquitous learning, knowledge cognitive constructivism and diversity in information needs, gradually exhibit mismatch or misalignment with traditional information literacy supply in university library, and result in low service performance. Based on the changes and characteristics of library information user’s needs, against the factual knowledge acquisition in the students’ daily life and professional learning, this paper develops information literacy innovative service model, which is the user-centric, virtual embedded platforms and scaffolding-anchored teaching mode with peer-helping-peer.
