Discussion on the development Strategies of Yunnan Academic Library Alliance

Abstract: With the development of computer technology, communication technology, network technology and digital library, some tremendous changes have happened in the information quantity, speed of information exchanging and people’s reading pattern, especially for the readership of academic library whoes needs for electronic resource have been increasing continuously, which brought a great challenge for academic library. The formation and development of academic library alliance played an important role in gratifying readers’ high requirements and efficiency, and in the optimal allocation, co-building and sharing and efficient service of library resource. Through analyzing the situation and problems about the development of Yunnan academic library alliance and the domestic and foreign successful experience, considering with the special situation of Yunnan province, this paper made a thinking and discussion about the future construction and development of academic library alliance.
