Abstract: With the time development and knowledge update, intersection and inter-infiltration among disciplines have become more and more obvious, which raise requirements for information consultants’ Search Quotient (SQ hereinafter). In this paper the concept of SQ and its content, essence and features were briefly introduced at first. Then the importance of information consultants’ SQ was analyzed and on this basis constituent of information consultants’ SQ was discussed. Finally efficient approaches to cultivate information consultants’ SQ were put forward just for inference.
